This project aims to find out how older adults adapt to their power wheelchairs over a two-year period and how these devices affect important aspects of their lives.
You can participate in this study if you:
- use or are in the process of obtaining a power wheelchair;
- are 50 years old or older;
- live in the community.
What do you need to do? You will be required to attend 7 testing sessions over a period of two years. Each session will take 2-3 hours.
Where? These sessions can take place either at G.F. Strong (4255 Laurel Street, Vancouver), Blusson Spinal Cord Centre (818 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver), at your home, or a location of your convenience.
Participants will be paid a participation fee.
