Congratulations to Dr. Krassioukov and his colleagues, who have won two awards for their ABC of Autonomic Dysreflexia online course in the  Horizon Interactive Awards competition! The Horizon Interactive Awards recognizes outstanding achievement in interactive media and awards the best websites, videos, mobile applications, and web and print media. With strict competition from the likes of Blue Cross and Microsoft, the informative course has placed bronze in both categories of Healthcare and Training.

While it is primarily targeted towards healthcare professionals and paramedics, the ABC of Autonomic Dysreflexia is a free and informative resource available online for anyone to view and consult. It aims to define autonomic dysreflexia, its symptoms, its relationship to spinal cord injury, and methods of management for this life-threatening condition.

This educational website was a vision of Dr. Krassioukov’s for many years and Dr. Krassioukov is greatly appreciative of the effort that went into this project from his colleagues from Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as of the support from numerous organizations including Justice Institute of British Columbia, Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Medtronic, Rick Hansen Institute, and Craig H. Neilsen Foundation.
