Congratulations to ICORD PIs Dr. Miriam Spering and Dr. Ipek Oruc, who were among eighteen UBC researchers to receive more than $1.8 million in combined funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund. Drs. Spering and Oruc are among ICORD’s newest PIs, having joined the research centre in the summer of 2013. Drs. Oruc and Spering direct the Neuroscience of Vision and Action (NOVA) lab at the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre. Both are members of the Visual Cognitive Neuroscience Group within the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at the University of British Columbia.
