The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation supports emergency relief fund for people with SCI
The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation has generously provided funding to support the urgent needs of of people with SCI in BC facing the COVID-19 pandemic. ICORD researcher Dr. Krassioukov is in collaboration with Spinal Cord Injury BC to facilitate the following:
- Provision of personal protective equipment to people with SCI in Vancouver and rural BC.
- Provision of services for sanitizing apartments for people with SCI who are most at risk/need.
- Web-based “Ask an Expert” sessions for people with SCI to chat with and ask questions of medical personnel and peer-support individuals. The first session will take place April 27, with further sessions to be posted on Spinal Cord Injury BC’s online calendar.

ICORD activities at the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre during COVID-19 (updated April 6)
UBC’s remote work arrangement and research curtailment have been extended to the end of April. ICORD researchers, staff, and students are currently working from home to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Administrative staff can be reached by phone or email.
Bookings are suspended until further notice. All bookings of the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre Lecture Hall and Atrium have been cancelled until April 30 (further cancellations may be necessary).
Clinical studies have been suspended for the time being. If you are a current research participant, please contact your study coordinator for information.
